Yesterday's Fair in Olney

 One Of The Stalls

The 4th Olney Vintage Fair took place yesterday in the pretty Church Hall in Olney. Many thanks to our stall holders, everyone who came along on the day and to everyone who helped to support the fair through blogging and posting.

Kitchenalia Is Always Popular

I would also like to thank Sophie from Sophie Davies Photography who came along to take some photos for us (I would love to be able to claim responsibility for the much improved images in this post but alas I cannot). I really like the tone of the photos, reminds me of the tints of 60s Kodak or early polaroid prints.

A Happy Home Is A Vintage Home

There was a good mix of original vintage homewares, handmade, costume jewellery and ephemera.
I also saw quite a few pieces of painted furniture being loaded into cars.

Vintage For All Ages - Lovely Images

Old Ladybirds make great gifts, contain super images, look great lined up on a shelf and are a great resource for crafters.

Vintage Textiles

Old fabrics or if you prefer 'vintage textiles' feature strongly at our fairs, the designs, many from the 30s-50s are very colourful and are perfect for many projects such as cushions, shades or display.

My Find Of The Day

I really like this set of red, white and blue bunting, the flags are made of vinyl and the tape is cotton, I would guess it is from the 60s. Here I must admit that the above and following two photos were taken by me and not Sophie!

A Good Display Of  Vintage Kitchen Wares

As I sit at the door I have the pleasure of welcoming people to the fair, its great to see 'friends of the fair' who regularly come along, it is also nice to have the opportunity to chat with those visiting us for the first time. I spoke with a gentleman from the States who is in the UK and intending to visit the Twinwood Festival before returning home to possibly organise a Vintage Fair across the pond. I do hope that a Glen Miller track was playing as you walked around the fair, best wishes for your 'vintage plans' and thanks for finding our fair and taking the time to come along.

I Have Never Seen One Of These Before
A Lovely Sylko Pin Cushion

I would also like to thank Martin and Lesley for their support in my bid to go to Twinwood on the Bank Holiday Sunday at the end of August, now I know that there are dance classes I am even more eager (I cannot be there earlier as we have our special Vintage Fair & Garden Party at the Spinney Hill the day before on Saturday 25th).

Returning To Olney In November

The fair will be returning to Olney in November. Before then you will be able to find us in Northampton (twice!), Buckingham and Market Harborough. Our next event is taking place at the Spinney Hill in Northampton on 25th August, we hope to see you there.

Returning To The Spinney Hill

We hope you enjoy the remaining summer, let us hope that the sun is shining on the 25th!
