Two Dates For Your Diary In August & A Name Change For The Fairs

Olney - 4th August

I would like to thank all the stall holders and everyone who came along to yesterday's Vintage Jumble in Northampton. The two sales rooms at St Matthews were crammed full with stalls and the aisles quickly filled up with happy looking customers. The Jumbles are always great fun and the next one will be in January 2013 in Northampton. The poster above is for the 4th Olney Vintage Fair which is only thirteen days away. The last fair in Olney took place in May and it was a very busy day.

Northampton At The Spinney Hill

I have also just arranged a second visit to the lovely Spinney Hill in Northampton. When we were there in May for the Vintage Fair & Jubilee Garden Party we had a great day, the sun shone all day and hundreds of people came along. I have been told that people needed to use the car-park of the supermarket which is 1/4 mile away, we hope you enjoyed the fair and the Pimm's when you finally arrived.

St Matthews - 15th September

The the fair will be returning to St Matthews for the 9th Northampton Vintage Fair. The first fair took place in 2009 and many of the people who came along to then still follow the fair now, your continuing interest in our fairs is very much appreciated. Also many of the stall holders from the very first fair are still with us and travel with the fair as it wanders through the shires.

Bringing Vintage To The Shires

Although I am rather sentimental and have a tendency to resist even the slightest change the fair has grown and the name "Vintage in the Shires" perhaps more accurately portrays what has been achieved so far. The support we have received from all 'friends of the fair' (family, friends, stall holders, customers and everyone else that has helped us) has been great and is much appreciated. 

During the next couple of months you will notice the branding of the fairs gradually change however I can assure you that the welcoming and friendly ambience and the lovely stall holders who work so hard to bring you some of the best original vintage and lovingly created handmade will be as strong as ever.
