Vintage Finds And Saturday's Fair At The Spinney Hill
Old Yellow Gloss Frame |
We found this old print in a lovely little 'Vintage' shop in Leicester. Old things painted a long time ago in bright yellow gloss, naturally distressed by age, are beginning to gather in our kitchen at home. It started with a small wooden cupboard which we found when we took the fair to Buckingham in April and continued when the fair visited Stamford for the first time in June, when we returned home with a very old and very yellow clothes airer.
A Car Boot Find |
The sun was shining on Sunday morning when we headed for the car boot at Rushden and found a nice boxed tea-set from the 30s, decorated with gilt and crinoline ladies and some great magazines from the 30s and 50s.
Getting Ready For Saturday |
I have also taken advantage of the warm weather to get out and do a bit of 'postering', hope you spotted the signs if you went to the car boot at Holcot on Saturday.
Saturday 25th August 12pm - 4pm |
The fair will be returning to the lovely Spinney Hill in Northampton on Saturday. We had a great time at the Vintage Fair & Jubilee Garden Party back in June that we just had to return!
The fair will be taking place in the pretty garden and there will be homemade cakes as well warm food and a full range of drinks. The pub is very family friendly and children are welcome and there was a great atmosphere back in June. Come along and start your bank holiday in 'vintage style'.
St Matthews Northampton 15th September 11am-3pm |
In September the fair will be returning to St Matthews in Northampton for the 9th Northampton Vintage Fair.
